The Oscar winning actress Halle Berry has very recently launched her new perfume range called “Halle”. The star has been planning to release the perfume for a while now and says that it has been in development for over 2 years. Halle says that the reason it’s taken so long to get the fragrance onto the shelves is that by her own admittance she is a perfectionist. She claimed that it took a while to really recreate her persona in the scent and she had to keep making changes to get a true representation.

Halle is over the moon with the end product, suggesting “its’ a real, true expression of who I am”. The smell has been categorized as a woody oriental perfume that has qualities of sandalwood and a sweet vanilla aroma. The fragrance has subtle notes of freesia, bergamot and pear blossom but its strong ingredients are fig and mimosa. An extra ingredient that was included at the last minute by Halle was an African root called olibanum that works to increase the the depth and spice of the body.

The product claims it will be the most natural product in a perfume shop and contains no harsh or processed ingredients. This was demonstrated very well when on a recently episode of the Ellen DeGeneres TV Show, Halle took a big sip of the stuff.It was Ellen who first took a drink of the liquid and when she handed the bottle and a glass to Halle, the actress happily copied her. After the show Halle admitted that the perfume didn't taste great but she knew it wouldn't harm her in any way as the ingredients were things that are only found naturally. Halle went on to say that she would not be putting her name to a product that was bad for either the environment or for peoples health.
